CCA7’s Library:
Ongoing

CCA7's Library inhabits a circular structure of the library that was designed by Scottish artist Andrew Miller during his residency in Trinidad in 2000. The Library includes books on the regional and international visual arts, cultural studies and arts administration.

Books are laid out according to category. These include Museums, History of the Caribbean, History of Art, Art Theory, Cultural Studies, Arts Administration, Funding, Music, Literature and Contemporary Visual Arts. Visual Arts is further divided into Primitive, African, American, Asian, Caribbean, Latin American and Multi-media Art, Photography and Architecture, as well as a number of journals, both regional and international.

Since its inception, CCA has been subscribing to a number of arts journals including Art in America, Flash Art, Art Nexus, Small Axe and Art Forum. We have also been collecting catalogues and books on art history, theory and cultural studies. Prior to now, such a library facility for the arts has not existed in Trinidad and Tobago. Indeed, our local state library services are grossly under-funded - access to and appreciation of books has suffered as a result.

Please contact mail@cca7.org if you are interested in donating any books to the CCA Library, it would be greatly appreciated.

Our library is open to artists, students, teachers and members of the public for research.

Opening Hours: Please call us at 625 1889 / 6805 to make an appointment.
